Plagiarism Policy
When submitting a manuscript for publication, it is important to acknowledge the original copyright holder when using words, sentences, phrases, or text from other sources, as failure to do so, whether intentional or unintentional, is considered plagiarism. Also, using tables, images, graphs, formulas, and empirical data from published sources without giving credit to the original source is an act of plagiarism.
Plagiarism is not only unlawful, but it also violates ethical principles and can have damaging effects. Moreover, it can damage your reputation and credibility, making it challenging to succeed in your future career.
MedSciens Publishing Group is dedicated to upholding the integrity of scholarly manuscripts by carefully evaluating the quantity and quality of copied content in relation to the original source. We conduct comprehensive plagiarism checks on all submitted manuscripts. Authors will be notified of any plagiarism identified before or after acceptance, as well as during the editing or proofreading stage, and are required to address the issue by citing the original source.
Plagiarism policy guidelines
It is understood by MedSciens Publishing Group that it is unfeasible and undesirable to have a 0% tolerance for plagiarism, as scientific writing necessitates the use of standard terminologies and expressions. Therefore, we accept 20-25% plagiarism as a norm within the publishing industry. Should plagiarism be identified by the Quality Control Team/ Editorial Board Members / Reviewers of MedSciens journals during Manuscript Submission Confirmation or at any point in the manuscript processing, the authors will be informed and instructed to either rework the content or provide appropriate references for the original sources.
After making necessary corrections and resubmitting, we will reevaluate the manuscript for any infringements, and if none are found, we will proceed with the review process. However, if the author does not address the plagiarism issues as advised by the editorial office, the manuscript will be rejected without further consideration.
It is anticipated that authors will attach a cover page indicating that the manuscript they are submitting is original, has not been published before, and is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
If Plagiarism is discovered after publication, MedSciens Publishing Group will initiate an initial inquiry. The authors will be notified and the plagiarized paper will be labeled on every page of the PDF. Depending on the severity of the plagiarism, the paper may be retracted formally without additional notification, as authors are expected to have familiarized themselves with our policies and consented to them upon manuscript submission.
Scholars have the opportunity to showcase their dedication to the scientific community by assisting in the publication of high-quality articles. If you encounter instances of plagiarism in a journal from any publisher, we encourage you to inform the editorial offices of all involved journals. Provide them with details such as journal names, manuscript titles, author names, volume numbers, issue numbers, publication years, and any other relevant information. The editorial offices will address the cases according to their policies.
The act of plagiarism constitutes a serious violation of the commitment to research and development, and it undermines the integrity of original and honest scholarly work. MedSciens Publishing Group urges all scholars to prioritize fairness and accountability in producing plagiarism-free manuscripts.
