Article Processing Charges (APC)
At the Journal of Computer Science and Technology - Robotics Applications (JCSTRA), we are committed to pioneering advancements in robotics, automation, and computational technologies. As an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal, JCSTRA serves as a hub for innovative research on robot design, AI-driven systems, human-robot interfaces, autonomous vehicles, and emerging fields like generative AI and machine learning. Our platform empowers engineers, scientists, and professionals to share breakthroughs that minimize human intervention, enhance efficiency, and push the boundaries of intelligent robotics.
To fuel this progress, JCSTRA relies on Article Processing Charges (APCs) as our primary funding mechanism, enabling free, unrestricted access to transformative content in computer science and robotics without external dependencies.
Why Do We Charge APCs?
JCSTRA functions as a self-sustaining open-access publisher, funded entirely through internal means. APCs are essential to manage the high costs of disseminating robotics research digitally, including investments in advanced hardware for simulations, specialized software for data analysis, and scalable online infrastructure. We also dedicate resources to editing, visualization, and integration of cutting-edge tools that bring complex algorithms, robotic prototypes, and AI models to life.
These efforts allow JCSTRA to spotlight research on topics like bio-inspired robotics, cloud-based automation, and control systems, fostering global collaborations that drive technological innovation and real-world applications in robotics.
What Does the APC Cover?
The APC for JCSTRA supports a comprehensive array of services tailored to elevate robotics and computer science scholarship:
Expert Peer Review and Editorial Expertise: In-depth assessment by specialists in AI, robotics engineering, and computer vision to validate studies on autonomous systems and intelligent algorithms.
Manuscript Production and Enhancement: Skilled editing, formatting, and illustrative support to clearly present technical data, schematics, and simulations in robotics research.
Digital Hosting and Worldwide Accessibility: Maintenance of robust online platforms for instant, open access, connecting your innovations in robotics to a global community of technologists and researchers.
Operational and Administrative Oversight: Streamlined management of journal workflows, including plagiarism detection, ethical reviews, and alignment with computer science publishing standards.
Content Archiving and Longevity: Secure preservation of articles in digital repositories, ensuring lasting availability for future advancements in robotics applications.
By funding these elements, JCSTRA enables authors to contribute to the next era of robotics, where intelligence and motion converge for groundbreaking solutions.
APC Fee Structure
JCSTRA implements a flexible APC system to accommodate the varied funding scenarios of robotics researchers. Fees are adjusted based on institutional support, grant availability, and the author's economic region, promoting inclusivity in computer science and technology fields.
No Submission Fees: There are no charges for submitting your manuscript to JCSTRA. We invite global contributions, from original designs in manufacturing robotics to reviews of AI integration in autonomous systems.
Post-Acceptance APC: After acceptance, an APC is applied to finalize publication. This fee is non-refundable once paid, consistent with our open-access model that provides immediate and permanent access to robotics research.

Waiver Policy
Inclusivity drives innovation at JCSTRA, where diverse perspectives accelerate robotics progress. We provide substantial waivers for authors from institutions lacking funding or those in low-income areas, encouraging publications that advance automation and AI in underserved regions. Full or partial waivers are evaluated individually to support essential work on topics like human-robot collaboration or machine learning applications.
Requests should be directed to the journal before manuscript submission, ensuring equitable opportunities for pioneering research in computer science and robotics.
Withdrawal Policy
JCSTRA understands that project directions can shift during the publication cycle. Our withdrawal policy balances fairness with resource allocation:
Prior to Plagiarism Check: Withdrawals within the first 24 hours are fee-free.
Post-Plagiarism Check and Formatting: A fee of 189 USD covers initial processing.
After Peer Review and Final Preparation: The fee increases to 459 USD, reflecting editorial and review commitments.
After Publication: For published articles, a fee of 549 USD applies due to the complete dissemination of your robotics research.
Authors have the full submission-to-acceptance window to decide. Once the APC is paid, it remains non-refundable, upholding our dedication to open-access advancements in computer science and technology.
