Article Processing Charges (APC)

At MedSciens Journal of Dentistry and Dental Science (MSJDDS), we are dedicated to advancing knowledge in oral health, dental research, and clinical practices through open-access publishing. As a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal, MSJDDS ensures that high-quality research on dental development, diseases, diagnostics, treatments, and preventive strategies reaches a global audience without barriers. To maintain this commitment, we rely on Article Processing Charges (APCs) to support our operations, allowing us to provide exceptional editorial services, rigorous peer review, and widespread dissemination of groundbreaking work in dentistry and dental science.

Why Do We Charge APCs?

MSJDDS operates independently as an open-access publisher, funding our activities through internal resources without external subsidies. APCs are essential to cover the multifaceted costs of producing and distributing scholarly content in the field of dental science. These fees help sustain the infrastructure needed for online publication, including advanced digital platforms, secure hosting, and long-term archiving of articles in accessible repositories. Additionally, APCs fund the meticulous processes of manuscript editing, formatting, illustration, and integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance readability and impact.

By investing in these areas, we ensure that research on oral health challenges-such as innovative treatments for dental diseases, surgical advancements, and preventive care-can be shared efficiently with clinicians, researchers, and educators worldwide. This model promotes transparency and accelerates the exchange of ideas, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes and dental care standards.

What Does the APC Cover?

The APC for MSJDDS encompasses a range of services tailored to uphold the journal's high standards in dentistry and dental science:
Peer Review and Editorial Expertise: Rigorous evaluation by our panel of dental specialists and editors to refine manuscripts on topics like oral pathology, restorative dentistry, and emerging technologies.
Production and Formatting: Professional editing, layout design, and multimedia enhancements to present complex dental research clearly and engagingly.
Online Hosting and Accessibility: Maintenance of user-friendly digital platforms for unrestricted access, ensuring your work on dental innovations reaches an international readership instantly.
Administrative and Operational Support: Ongoing management of the journal's workflow, including plagiarism checks, ethical oversight, and compliance with dental science publishing norms.
Archival Preservation: Secure storage of published content for future reference, supporting the longevity of dental research contributions.

These elements are crucial for MSJDDS to remain a leading voice in dental science, fostering collaborations that drive advancements in oral health.

APC Fee Structure

MSJDDS adopts a flexible approach to APCs, recognizing the diverse financial landscapes of researchers in dentistry. Fees are determined based on factors such as available funding from institutions or agencies and the economic context of the author's country. This ensures equitable access for scholars worldwide, particularly those advancing dental care in underserved regions.

No Submission Fees: We do not impose any charges for submitting your manuscript to MSJDDS. Our goal is to encourage submissions from all corners of the dental science community, from original research on tooth development to case studies on surgical interventions.
Post-Acceptance APC: Upon acceptance, an APC applies to offset the costs of finalizing and publishing your article. This fee is non-refundable once paid, reflecting our open-access model that prioritizes immediate and permanent availability of dental research.

For precise fee details specific to your submission, please contact our accounts team at accounts@medscienspublishinggroup.com. We are open to discussions and can provide customized quotes based on your circumstances.

Waiver Policy

We believe in inclusivity within the dental science field, supporting researchers who may face financial constraints. MSJDDS offers generous waivers for authors from institutions lacking funding support or those in low-income economies. These waivers can be full or partial and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis to promote equitable participation in oral health research.

To request a waiver, submit your inquiry directly to the journal before manuscript submission. This allows us to assess your situation promptly and ensure that groundbreaking work in dentistry-such as studies on disease prevention or treatment innovations-is not hindered by financial barriers.

Withdrawal Policy

MSJDDS understands that circumstances can change during the publication process. To maintain fairness and cover incurred costs, we have established a clear withdrawal policy:
Before Plagiarism Check: No fees apply if you withdraw within the initial 24 hours of submission.
After Plagiarism Check and Formatting: A withdrawal fee of $189 is charged to account for preliminary processing.
After Peer Review and Pre-Publication Preparation: The fee increases to $459, reflecting the editorial and review efforts invested.
Post-Publication: For articles already published, a fee of $549 applies due to the full dissemination of your work.

Authors have ample opportunity from submission to acceptance to decide on proceeding. Once the APC is paid, it is non-refundable, aligning with our open-access commitment to dental science.
